A long time ago, I bought a Raspberry Pi without knowing what to do with it. I just flashed a system and installed a control panel when I had nothing to do.
It has been idle for a long time, and recently I took it out to study and use it as a bypass router.
Disclaimer: I don't really understand or tinker with software routers and bypass routers!
Since I wanted to use it as a software router, the internet access steps are: Local Network - Software Router Node - Computer Node - Internet.
Then I powered the Raspberry Pi with an Ethernet cable and connected the computer to the Wi-Fi emitted by the Raspberry Pi.
Later, I found out that it didn't work as intended. After some inquiries, I learned that setting it up as a bypass router could achieve the desired effect, but setting it up as a software router would require purchasing a separate network card.
Video tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iyQjjgOfPnQ also explains it in detail.
After setting it up, I realized that I couldn't achieve the desired effect of connecting from one node to another and then accessing the internet. After asking around, I found out the answer:
At this point, the Raspberry Pi also went back to being idle, as I am not used to using it anyway.
